ELECTROMECH make Gang Operated Air Break Switch off load disconnecting switch single break tilting type. The switch can be single stack/double stack type.
For 22KV the symmetry of Insulators would be 11KV+11KV double stack or 22KV Post directly.
(We also manufacture double break horizontal [Rotating] type Isolators) with earth blade, Auxillary switch & interlocking arrangements, Insulators, contacts, channel and operating mechanism in all the above variety would be of the following type.
Each pole consists of hot dip galvanized steel channel base, Insulators as per BSS/ISS non ferrous knife and spring loaded contacts arching horns of adequate section to break magnetizing current of the transformer, horizontal G.I. pipe of adequate length for phase separation and operation from ground level with operating handle complete in both ON and OFF position. All ferrous parts are hot dip galvanized and nonferrous parts tinned duly to withstand weather conditions.
Manufactured as per ISS suitable for horizontal-vertical mounting as per ISS -9921 (Part-IV)-1985 reaffirmed 2002.

FAQs of 22 KV Gang Operated Air Break Switch:
Q: How is the 22 KV Gang Operated Air Break Switch installed?
A: Installation should be carried out on utility poles or substation structures as per the specified drawing and IS Specifications. The switch is typically fitted using galvanized channels, bolts, and nuts provided, and it must be connected to compatible copper tape and aligned with system insulation requirements.
Q: What components are included in the construction of this switch?
A: Key components include a porcelain insulator for voltage resistance, brass contacts for conductivity, a G.I. (galvanized iron) channel for structure, copper tape, and high-quality bolts and nuts. Non-ferrous parts are silver plated as per IS Specifications to enhance durability.
Q: When should this air break switch be used in a power distribution system?
A: This switch is recommended for use in 22 KV pole line and substation applications where reliable isolation and sectionalizing are required for maintenance or safety purposes. It is suitable for new installations and replacement projects.
Q: Where is the 22 KV Gang Operated Air Break Switch most commonly applied?
A: The switch is predominantly installed on overhead pole lines and within substations as part of medium voltage power distribution systems, especially in Indian infrastructure following IS Specifications.
Q: What is the benefit of silver plating the non-ferrous parts of the switch?
A: Silver plating significantly enhances the corrosion resistance of non-ferrous parts, reduces electrical resistance, and ensures better long-term performance even under demanding environmental conditions.
Q: How does the galvanization of the channel increase the products lifespan?
A: Galvanization protects the steel channel from rust and corrosion. This ensures structural integrity over time, making it especially valuable for outdoor installations exposed to the elements.
Q: What warranty and standards apply to this air break switch?
A: The product comes with a 12-month warranty and is designed, welded, and surface-treated in strict accordance with IS Specifications, ensuring dependable quality and compliance.
